6 Ways to Make Your Holy Week Really Holy

When the trend is having a diaspora to the beaches or to the cooler climate areas, doing their Panata

( pledge ) during Semana Santa either by Penitensya  ( public penance ) while others chooses "staycation" or stay at home... you can't help but ask, how can we really make this Holy Week really really Holy regardless of the activities we have set to do...

Understanding the Passion of Christ

 THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS
At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty.

At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst
criminals are condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for
Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixion Jesus
was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet.

Each nail was 5 to 8 inches long.
The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is
commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the
shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being
hammered into the wrist that tendon would tear and break, forcing
Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could
breath.

Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support
Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross. Jesus
could not support himself with His legs because of the pain so He was
forced to alternate between arching His back then using his legs just
to continue to breath. Imagine the struggle, the pain, the suffering,
the courage.

Jesus endured this reality for over 3 hours.
Yes, over 3 hours! Can you imagine this kind of suffering? A few
minutes before He died, Jesus stopped bleeding.

He was simply pouring water from his wounds.

From common images we see wounds to His hands and feet and even the
spear wound to His side. But do we realize His wounds were actually
made in his body. A hammer driving large nails through the wrist, the
feet overlapped and an even large nail hammered through the arches,
then a Roman guard piercing His side with a spear. But before the
nails and the spear Jesus was whipped and beaten. The whipping was so
severe that it tore the flesh from His body. The beating so horrific
that His face was torn and his beard ripped from His face. The crown
of thorns cut deeply into His scalp. Most men would not have survived
this torture.

He had no more blood to bleed out, only water poured from His wounds.
The human adult body contains about 3.5 litres (just less than a gallon) of blood.
Jesus poured all 3.5 litres of his blood; He had three nails hammered
into his members; a crown of thorns on his head and, beyond that, a
Roman soldier who stabbed a spear into his chest.

All these without mentioning the humiliation He passed after carrying his own cross for almost 2 kilometres, while the crowd spat in his face and threw stones (the cross was almost 30 kg of weight, only for its higher part, where his hands were nailed).
Jesus had to endure this experience, so that you can have free access to God. So that your sins could be "washed" away.
All of them, with no exception! Don't ignore this situation. JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR YOU! Do not believe that He only died for others (those who go to church or for pastors, bishops, etc).

Accept the reality, the truth that JESUS IS THE ONLY SALVATION FOR THE WORLD.

God has plans for you, show all your friends what He experienced to save you.
...He said (Matthew 10:32 &33):
"Everyone therefore who acknowledges me before others, I also will acknowledge before
my Father in heaven; but whosoever denies me before others, I also will deny before my Father in heaven".

Without Him, I am nothing, but with Him "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me".
Philippians 4:13..
I have done my part in sharing this message, now it is your turn by sharing this post.
Have a Blessed Holy Week.

Why We Laugh

This is part of a chapter from the Book Comedy Writing Secrets by Mel Helitzer. I do find it amusing and I have so much respects for comedians ( actors, stand up comedians, my dad and brother in their own ways ). So let me share what the intro on what makes us laugh...

The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth and sharpen my tongue.—Dorothy Parker
Aristotle studied it, and Socrates debated it. Such famous historical figures as Charles Darwin, Thomas Hobbes, and Henri Bergson wrote papers on their humor theories. In the twentieth century, Sigmund Freud, Max Eastman, and even Woody Allen tried to formulate clear explanations of the purpose of humor.
In fact, there's been more research on humor in the last decade than in all previous centuries combined. Humor has played an important part in our lives for thousands of years, but scientists and philosophers
are still working to understand what laughter means, why we tell jokes, and why we do or don't appreciate other people's humor.
Despite the prowess of the minds that have considered the subject, answers are far from definitive. Like rabbis in the eternal debate over the meaning of the Talmud, every scholar of comedy interprets its subjective
phenomena in terms of his own discipline. Today, there is more diversity of opinion than ever.
So much remains to be done that the student of humor has a real opportunity to make a significant contribution to the field.—Jeffrey Goldstein and Paul McGhee
The only common denominator among the theories is an agreement that humor is so subjective that no one theory can possibly fit in all instances. For those interested in creating humor, there is good news and bad
news. The good news is that if humor has so many tangents, it may have an unlimited variety of benefits. Most of them have yet to be discovered. The bad news is that those who create comedy are not sure they know
exactly what they're doing. "I work strictly on instinct," Woody Allen admitted. Humor writers therefore have to live with the fear that they won't be able to continue producing humor consistently.
After being an established writer for fifteen years, I remember staring at the typewriter every morning with a desperate, random groping for something funny, that familiar fear that I couldn't do it, that I had been getting away with it all this time and I would at last be found out.
[It was] a painful blundering most of us went through. —Sol Saks
There are few artists more insecure than humorists. They are traditionally suspicious of any attempt to analyze their creative techniques. That's because they develop their formulas through trial and error.
They discover comedy batting averages; some techniques work more often than others.
I think I did pretty well, considering I started out with nothing but a bunch of blank paper.—Steve Martin

....reason for laughter on next post. =)

WARNING PHILIPPINES: Earthquake and Tsunami Prophecy (March26) by Prophet Dr. David Owuor

It is only recently that I am becoming restless with all the happenings in our world this year. The war and unrest in the Middle East, the earthquake in New Zealand that killed Filipino Nurses Students, 9.0 magnitude earthquake in Sendai Japan that brought 10 meter tsunami killing thousands of people..some of it even felt in our shores and even in the US where one person died trying to capture an image of it, the Fukushima Nuclear Plants still in critical situation, aftershocks, recent 5 magnitude earthquake in the Philippines, next in Myanmar..then another 6 magnitude in Japan today. .at least no Tsunami that occurred  In my reflections, I am asking what is my role in all of this. Perhaps, it is to share the news, the predictions, what the bible says will happen and even the prophets. I am well aware of false prophets and I still believe that God with his infinite mercy still appoints individual to give us warnings so a lot more can change theirs ways and go back to HIM. One such individual is Prophet Dr. David Owuor , on the video below, he is giving us a warning. He goes wherever his vision of God asks him to go and visit. This time it is here in the Philippines. Let his warnings not be a cause of panic but of urgency to Repent of the sins we have committed.
The fate of our family, country, and the millions of people in this part of the world rests on our prayers and actions...let us spread the news. May God have mercy on us all.

Even Eagles Need A Push

Every now and then we ask ourselves if everything we do, matters specially when we are nowhere near reaching our goals may it be financially, health wise, spirituality etc. Sometimes the results of our efforts do come later or there is really no results at all. As I was reading the book of Donald Walsh Neale's "Conversation with God" and have a sort of realization there pertaining to our prayers...when our prayers do not match what we believe as our reality, they in essence sends out a message of want or lacking. With this "lacking" the universe do not respond positively. Thus come FAITH when something that is not yet a reality is expected to be coming in soon or can already be experienced. FAITH and GRATITUDE combined will reorder the sets of energy in motion to make what aimed for come into our reality. This probably makes no sense to you and hopefully it will someday. I believe we are all born leaders by default, we just forget that along the way. Influences good or bad put us in several directions. Leaders do persevere and goes on against the odds. If you still are a leader or if you still believe yourself to be so, then you need a PUSH. Just like eagles you do need a big push...why? See this wonderful video and be thankful of those who PUSHED you!

To your success!

9 Things More Valuable than Money

To a lot of people having lots of money from the start whether they were born with a silver spoon on their mouth or by inheritance gives them an unfair advantage. For me that is mostly true but we don't have to be limited by that in order to pursue whatever we want in life or enjoy living it. My  virtual mentor Jim Rohn who recently passed away have this to say about the other things available to most of us that are more valuable than money. Let's keep them in mind on our life's journey:

Nine things more important than capital- Jim Rohn
Here's the secret: Capital— the kind of capital that is more valuable than money and that can secure your future and fortune— and you lack not the resources.

Please BEWARE of The Dream Stealers

This is a very timely post I believe for what I is the dreaded killer of the desire or belief that a person can be successful or attain financial freedom in the Network Marketing Industry. If you are just starting and you feel that you are being beaten black and blue. Don't just give up yet. Do step back and analyze what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. Once you see the big picture, make the necessary adjustment. Or it maybe just that you are talking to or dealing with a big time Dream Stealer....
