Most of us here have undergone medical or annual physical exam at least more than once in their working careers. This activity is a requirement before any of us join a company or get cleared to go abroad to become an OFW . It is also a benefit provided by the companies to their employees to ensure their health is regularly check to ensure their wellbeing.
I probably have gone around 21 times on these Medical or Annual Physical exams in my 24 years of working experience and in my early attempts to join the workforce back in 1991.
1. Don’t wear worn out underwear or you might reveal what is more than necessary

Lesson: Sometimes you have to let go of old stuff or even clothes that are already worn out and spend some amount of money replacing them. It will cost you more in maintaining or using them in the long run.
2. Understand what the Doctor’s feel during your medical check-up.

Lesson: Part of growing up and becoming better person is understanding what other people feels and think on a given conflict or issue. Think of how you will feel when you are on their shoes or the one looking at your behind during those physical exams.
3. If you don’t have a Stool sample container, by all means find a way to grab one.

Lesson: Not all resources in Life is available to us in order to achieve our goals and objectives. With grit and determination we can fill in those lacking resources and make us unstoppable in whatever we want to achieve in life. Countless of personalities have shown this … Pacquaio, Jordan , Gokongwei , like that guy w/o that jar we too can still provide that stool sample needed.
4. Don’t let the Doctor take a call while doing your Rectal Exam.

Lesson: Multitasking is good but nothing beats a serial activity with a lot of focus and concentration put into it. Worklife balance or juggling your different roles are critical to make sure nobody or less surprising events comes into your life with your pants down.
5. Clean your ear canals or ask the doctor to speak clearly or you might not do what he/she asks you to do.

Lesson: Communication is very important in having your point or message come across. It helps to speed up resolving issues and preventing any misunderstanding.
6. Make those bladder almost full and learn how to hold it for a little while.

Lesson: Learn to delay gratification. Not being able to wait will lead you to having the best thing or you’ll end up only with the next best thing. Like growing your wealth … you can spend it all now or be a problem to your kids later in life because you were not able to prepare anything for your retirement age.
7. Check if you have two balls in the sack.
Check if you have undescended balls or hernia … 2 balls are better than one.
Lesson: Self- awareness and examination. Take stock of what you have and be grateful of what you already enjoy which still might be a dream for other people.
8. Be nice to the anesthesiologist and the nurses.
Inject anesthesia – look at their beautiful faces – woke up it is done.
Lesson: Respect all people especially those who have nothing to lose. Anytime in your life you can be at their mercy.
9. If they can’t locate the vein on your left arm, allow them to check it on your right arm.
Difficult to locate for blood test sample. …switch arm …switch phlebotomist
Lesson: Have several options and be patient with people. Allow failures to happen. Allow those ideas to percolate and have perseverance to see them through into fruition… eventually you’ll find those veins and have a successful sample blood extraction.
10. Do not memorize the Letters on the Eye Chart

Lesson: Do not pretend you know everything. Ask for help. Don’t be a cheat . If you don’t sooner or later people will find out or on a higher level ,
